Mojeaga Network ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to maintaining a secure, transparent, and compliant business environment. This Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy establishes the procedures for verifying the identity of distributors, customers, stockists, and business partners to prevent fraud and identity theft, comply with applicable laws and regulations, protect the integrity of the Mojeaga Network platform, support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) efforts, and ensure accurate commission and payment processing. This Policy applies to all individuals and entities seeking to register, transact, or receive payments through Mojeaga Network.
1. Identity Verification
Every distributor or account holder may be required to complete identity verification before accessing certain services or receiving commission payments.
Accepted identity documents may include:
- National Identity Card
- International Passport
- Driver’s Licence
- Permanent Voter’s Card
- Residence Permit
- Other government-issued photo identification approved by the Company
During verification, the Company may request:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Recent passport photograph or selfie
- Government-issued identification number
- Signature (where applicable)
- Live facial verification or liveness check where supported
All information provided must be accurate, current, and belong to the applicant.
Providing false, forged, altered, or misleading identification documents is strictly prohibited.
2. Address Verification
To confirm the residential or business address of an applicant, the Company may request one or more of the following documents issued within the previous three (3) months:
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
- Government correspondence
- Tax assessment notice
- Tenancy agreement
- Official residence certificate
- Business registration documents showing the operating address
The Company may also verify addresses through trusted third-party verification services or other lawful means.
Applicants are responsible for keeping their contact and address information up to date.
3. BVN/NIN Integration (Nigeria)
For users registered in Nigeria, Mojeaga Network may integrate with approved identity verification providers to validate:
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- National Identification Number (NIN)
Verification may include confirmation of:
- Name consistency
- Date of birth
- Identity status
- Fraud indicators
- Duplicate account detection
BVN and NIN information will only be collected, processed, and stored in accordance with applicable Nigerian data protection and financial regulations.
Failure to complete required identity verification may delay account approval, commission payments, withdrawals, or other financial transactions.
4. International KYC
As Mojeaga Network expands into additional countries, identity verification requirements may vary depending on local laws and regulatory obligations.
International applicants may be required to provide:
- Government-issued passport
- National identity card
- Residence permit
- Tax identification number (where applicable)
- Proof of address
- Company registration documents (for corporate accounts)
- Additional documentation required by local regulations
The Company reserves the right to use internationally recognized identity verification providers to authenticate foreign applicants.
Additional due diligence may be performed for applicants from jurisdictions subject to enhanced regulatory requirements.
5. Account Restrictions
Accounts may be restricted, suspended, or terminated where:
- Required KYC information is not provided.
- Identity verification cannot be completed.
- Submitted documents appear fraudulent or altered.
- Multiple accounts are created in violation of Company policies.
- Suspicious or unusual transaction activity is detected.
- Fraud, money laundering, sanctions violations, or other unlawful conduct is suspected.
- Information provided is false, incomplete, or misleading.
Restricted accounts may be unable to:
- Receive commissions or bonuses.
- Request withdrawals.
- Purchase products on credit (where applicable).
- Sponsor new distributors.
- Access certain features of the Distributor Back Office.
Restrictions may remain in place until verification has been successfully completed.
6. Record Retention
Mojeaga Network retains KYC records only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Verify identity.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations.
- Prevent fraud.
- Resolve disputes.
- Conduct audits.
- Support law enforcement requests where legally required.
KYC records may include:
- Identity documents
- Verification results
- Audit logs
- Communication records
- Risk assessments
- Transaction history related to verification
When retention is no longer required, records will be securely deleted, anonymized, or destroyed in accordance with the Company’s Records Retention Policy and applicable law.
7. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All KYC information is treated as confidential.
Personal information collected during verification will be processed in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Access to KYC records is restricted to authorized personnel and approved service providers with a legitimate business need.
The Company implements appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect KYC information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
8. Ongoing Monitoring
KYC is an ongoing process.
The Company may periodically request updated identification or supporting documentation where:
- Personal details change.
- Regulatory requirements are updated.
- Account activity indicates increased risk.
- Existing verification records become outdated or expire.
Failure to respond to reasonable verification requests may result in temporary account restrictions.
9. Compliance and Reporting
Mojeaga Network reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, regulators, and competent governmental authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.
Where legally required, the Company may report suspicious activities, fraudulent transactions, or other conduct that may violate applicable laws.
10. Policy Changes
Mojeaga Network may amend this KYC Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, operational, or technological requirements.
The latest version will be published on the Company’s official website and becomes effective on the stated Effective Date.
